What are they?

 

Eating disorders are bad habits in your eating patterns or diet. They will ruin people’s lives. Many young people who suffer from eating disorders is because their parents suffer from them so they get the idea that it is ok. Eating disorders are wrong and can hurt you very bad. You could die from them and we don’t want that. Eating disorders are not a way to hide you feelings or emotions and they are not a way to lose weight. If you want to lose weight you need to eat healthy and exercise. If you are having problems emotionally then you can get help, don’t go looking for an eating disorder to solve your problems because they won’t.          

 

Anorexia/ Bulimia

 

Anorexia and Bulimia are similar and one of the more common eating disorders. Both of these disorders cause low-self esteem. They are both caused by emotional issues and the fear of losing control the amount of food they consume. People suffering both anorexia and bulimia are sensitive about being called fat or fear of becoming fat. There are many signs for anorexia and bulimia, huge weight lose, mood swings, baggy clothes to hide weight lose, injured body easily, obsession over dieting, and hiding or storing food (anorexia- so they can not find the food and eat it, bulimia- so they can eat large amounts of food then purge it.) There are also many behavior signs dieting pills, forced vomiting, calorie and fat gram counting, obsessive exercise, and starvation. These are some of the main things you would see in a person suffering from anorexia and bulimia. If you become suspicious you should try to talk to them or help them. 

Binge

 

Binge is another eating disorder; it is a combination of compulsive eating and bulimia. It is based on emotional issues. Binge is when you eat very large amounts of food within 2 hours uncontrollably, but unlike bulimia they do not purge after and episode of binge. People who suffer from binge are always over weight and always have a hard time losing weight. Binge people eat like this because they are trying to hide from their feelings. If you suffer from binge who have a high risk of a heart attack, high-blood pressure and cholesterol, kidney disease and/or failure, arthritis, and a stroke. Binge is dangerous and we need to help those who have it.

 

Compulsive Overeating

 

Compulsive overeating is very similar to binge. Compulsive overeating is when you have an addiction to food and all you do is eat out of control. When people suffer from compulsive they try to eat their feelings away or hide their emotions. Compulsive is based on emotional stress or issues and are very sensitive. The words “Just go on a diet” would kill them inside and make madders worse. They are always over weight and here are some signs, joint pain, mood swings, sweating or/ and shortness of breath, storing or hiding food, and isolation. If you suffer from compulsive overeating you have the risk of heart attack, high blood pressure and cholesterol, kidney disease and/ or failure, arthritis, and stroke. Compulsive is very secretive and can ruin someone’s life.
